We are thrilled to announce that Anara Publishing has recently welcomed Arran Sym to its esteemed roster of artists.

With a signature blend of ethereal melodies, gritty beats, and cinematic soundscapes, Arran Sym has quickly emerged with a distinctive sound. Coming from a small town on Scotland’s west coast, Sym gained early recognition through his collaborations with Chicago rapper Ibn Inglor, producing the acclaimed New Wave mixtapes and the impactful debut album Honegloria.

In 2019, Sym embarked on a new chapter in Tokyo, shifting towards a more pop-driven sound with his solo debut EP, 1000 Micrograms of Love. Following this, his deep dive into the city’s dynamic hip-hop scene led to a collaboration with bilingual artist DOT.KAI to create Critical Touch, a project that fused elements of hip-hop, industrial and hyperpop with guest appearances from some of Japan’s most prominent rap talents.

Arran Sym’s 2021 debut album, Beauty Valley, showcased his evolving artistry, with the lead single “Fire on Me” premiered on Wonderland. His signature style—an intricate fusion of dreamy textures, blissful melodies and raw energy—has established him as a boundary-breaking artist. In 2022, Sym reunited with Ibn Inglor in LA to make the album Danger Zone, which was part of a successful NFT campaign. The project was highlighted by live performances across the US, including a standout show at SXSW.

With each project, Arran Sym continues to push the limits of contemporary music, creating a sound that is as innovative as it is timeless.

Discussing the signing, Arran said:

“I’m excited for the opportunity to work with Anara Publishing because of their passion for supporting unique, boundary-pushing artists. I’m looking forward to a creative partnership where we can explore new opportunities and grow together.”
