2024 BMW G 310 series launched in new colors in India
Presently, small- to mid-displacement motorcycles have gained immense popularity, especially due to the introduction of the Harley-Davidson X440 and Triumph Speed and Scrambler 400 in the global market, creating a significant buzz. Once these bikes become available in the Philippines, they are likely to become highly sought-after in the local big bike community. Nevertheless, let’s shift our focus to the enhancements made to existing models already accessible in the Philippines, particularly the BMW G 310 series.
The BMW G 310 series has played a crucial role in expanding BMW’s reach to a broader audience worldwide. Notably, the entry-level model series accounted for a substantial 90 percent of BMW Motorrad India’s sales in the first half of 2023. In the local market, these motorcycles have become favored options for riders seeking sporty and dependable commuting solutions within the city. That said, to give these bikes an aesthetic refresh, BMW has recently updated the G 310 series with a range of fresh and appealing color choices in the Indian market.
To kick off the updates, BMW has introduced fresh color options for their G 310 series. The G 310 GS, the smallest GS model, now comes in a vibrant Racing Red shade. Meanwhile, the G 310 R, the naked streetfighter, boasts a new Style Passion paint scheme with an eye-catching combination of red and black. Lastly, the G 310 RR, the high-performance supersport model, is now available in a sleek Cosmic Black 2 colorway. This design showcases blacked-out bodywork, understated BMW decals, and a bold red frame, resulting in a sporty and striking appearance. It’s important to note that the G 310 RR has yet to be launched in the local market.
With all that said, besides the new color options, the BMW G 310 series retains its key features and performance characteristics. All models in the lineup are equipped with a 313cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, single-cylinder engine. This engine’s advanced features enable it to deliver a commendable 34 horsepower at 9,250 rpm and 29 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm.
The bikes boast impressive suspension systems, with inverted front forks and a preload-adjustable monoshock, providing riders with a smooth and controlled riding experience. Furthermore, the braking system includes front and rear disc brakes, backed by dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system), ensuring safe and reliable stopping power in various conditions.
