In August 2022, Royal Enfield made waves with the global launch of the Hunter 350, presenting their most versatile and accessible model yet. Ditching the traditional cruiser style seen in their previous models like the Meteor and Classic 350, the Hunter embraced a more balanced riding position. This adaptability allowed the bike to excel in both city commutes and spirited rides along winding mountain roads.
The market response to the Hunter 350 has been nothing short of phenomenal. Within a remarkably short time span of less than a year, Royal Enfield accomplished the remarkable feat of selling 200,000 units worldwide. The first 100,000 units were snapped up in just seven months, and the next 100,000 quickly followed, clearly indicating that the demand for this lightweight retro-style roadster is showing no signs of slowing down.
Royal Enfield’s press release revealed that the Hunter 350 was experiencing rapid growth in various regions, including the Indian market and key areas across Asia Pacific such as Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Thailand, the Philippines, Australia, and New Zealand. Beyond Asia, the bike achieved notable success in South American countries like Argentina, Colombia, and Mexico, as well as European markets like Germany, Italy, France, and the UK. To meet the escalating demand in South America, Royal Enfield is now planning to produce the Hunter 350 in their Brazilian facility.
For those unfamiliar with the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, it marks the latest addition to their 350cc model lineup. Unlike its cruiser-focused siblings, this model boasts a more universally appealing design. Powering the Hunter is a 349cc, air and oil-cooled single-cylinder engine, delivering a reliable 20 horsepower at 6,100 rpm and 19 pound-feet of torque at 4,000 rpm.
Here in the Philippines, the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 is a popular choice among both beginners looking for a solid platform to learn the ropes with, as well as seasoned riders looking for a lightweight motorcycle for riding around the city in style. It’s offered in two variants featuring a variety of colorways, and retails starting at P231,000.
