KTM has built a solid reputation for itself in the street bike segment with the Duke range of motorcycles. Incorporating the cutting edge features and performance of this lightweight naked sportbike with the Ready To Race mindset found in the roadracing initiatives of the Austrian company, KTM proudly presents the 2022 RC 390, the evolution of the well-loved supersport that’s lighter, faster, an more high-tech than ever before.
When it comes to eye-catching race bike appearance and daily performance, the 2022 KTM RC 390 is a step forward. The new generation RC 390 promises to live up to its undisputed reputation as “The Everyday Racer” thanks to a collection of essential premium components like a fully-adjustable WP APEX 43mm open cartridge upside down fork, a fully-adjustable WP Apex rear shock absorber, lightweight aluminum wheels, and an impressive technology package.
The core of the 2022 KTM RC 390 is the tried-and-true Euro 4 373cc liquid-cooled, ultra-compact single-cylinder four-stroke motor with new engine programming and a 40% larger airbox for increased torque numbers and smoother, harder power delivery with every throttle twist. Under rapid deceleration, a slipper clutch keeps the back wheel from locking up. The KTM RC 390 runs cooler thanks to improved airflow throughout the engine, providing it the ideal performance temperature required to take the apex, lap after lap, or blast through rush hour traffic.
The Motorcycle Traction Control (MTC), Cornering ABS with Supermoto Mode, and Quickshiter + are new features on the RC 390. If the rear wheel’s rotational speed is too fast for the riding scenario, the MTC responds in a couple of milliseconds. When it comes to severe braking, the new Supermoto ABS mode gives the rider more freedom without sacrificing safety. This is done by removing ABS functions on the rear wheel which allows the rider to slide the rear into a turn. Without touching the clutch, you can upshift or downshift using the Quickshifter +. This results in shorter shift times, better grip for the rear wheel, smoother acceleration, and the distinctive sound of a race-ready machine.
The 2022 KTM RC 390 also has a brand-new TFT LCD instrument display with a gear indication and all the essential information you want. The Factory Racing-inspired colors and competitive P335,000 pricing of the 2022 KTM RC 390 will surely make this bike one of the most highly sought after entry-level sportbikes in the market. The 2022 KTM RC 390 is currently on sale at KTM Authorized Dealers around the country.
